Ardesia Wine Bar is one of my favorite places in Hells Kitchen: not only does it have a great wine selection (aha), it also has an elegant atmosphere and really good food at the same time. Be sure to try the Garlic Shrimp Skewers and the Mozzarella & Bacon Sandwich!

Even if the name suggests otherwise: The Brandy Library has in its program a huge selection of very rare whiskeys that will make the heart of any whiskey fan beat faster. More than 1,000 bottles serve as decoration, especially at night it looks like a library of high-quality drinks. What we find really exciting are the events where you can learn more about bourbons, cognacs and company. Conclusion: Super atmospheric and a real highlight!

Connolly's Pub and Restaurant is an Irish pub as written in the books and is one of the best pubs in New York for me. A huge, quaint bar, lots of colorful taps, and tons of good whiskey immediately catch the eye. The kitchen is also excellent. The hamburgers are incredible!

When it comes to the best Negroni in town, there's no escaping Dante NYC. They are a New York institution and have been serving their Negroni since 1915 (it's an Italian restaurant with a small bar). You'll find it on the corner of Greenwich Village,SoHoand Hudson Square - that's where we go a lot when we're in New York.

The Dear Irving on Hudson bar is a real insider tip. Located very close to Times Square, you can enjoy a relatively undisturbed view of Manhattan's "street canyons" from here. The bar is small and cozy and yet not crowded like many others in the neighborhood. The cocktail menu isn't that big, but the cocktails are really good.

Double Chicken Please is a cocktail bar and restaurant on the Lower East Side and is definitely worth a visit. The cocktails are incredibly tasty, creative, and you'll also love the ambiance. Their specialty is dish-inspired cocktails - there are cocktails like Cold Pizza, Key Lime Pie or Japanese Cold Noodle.

Drift In is one of my most recent discoveries in New York: it's right on the Hudson River Promenade in the West Village. They serve oysters and the best lobster roll in town - no wonder the team behind Drift In is the same as my beloved PILOT Brooklyn and GRAND BANKs. Simply great!

The bar is a city institution (not just for its legendary cheeseburger) and has been on Spring Street for 200 years. By the way: if you pay attention to the neon sign, you'll see that it used to say "Bar" instead of "Ohr".

55 Bar is a Prohibition-era dive bar that features nightly funk, blues and jazz acts in Greenwich Village. Essentially considered Greenwich's gem, it's been in business for over 100 years, but don't let its slogan fool you - it's not a place for swing or retro jazz. In fact, this cozy ground floor club has hosted some of the most innovative names in modern jazz in recent years.

55 Bar charges modest coverage but hires top talent, so the experience is worth the cost. Some guests even claim that this bar is one of the best jazz venues in all of New York City. It has long been home to the likes of Wayne Krantz, Mike Stern and Sweet Georgia Brown. They offer live music every night of the year, and you can expect to hear everything from blues or jazz to avant-garde variety.

When Paris meets New York, places like the Amelie Wine Bar in Washington Square Park are born. Fantastic wines and small delicacies are available here at affordable prices. Definitely one of our favorites in town.

Especially when the Carolina Panthers are playing, the atmosphere in Amity Hall is boiling! The bar is huge and the game is broadcast here on a 20-foot flat screen and many other screens. In addition to the classic chicken wings, you can also find great burgers here.

Amor y Amargo is one of those bars that we love! It's completely unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, you can immediately feel the bar's charm. Places like this make New York to me (similar places to me are Proletariat and Fools Gold NYC on the Lower East Side). It's small, cozy and absolutely relaxed - great!

Nostalgic for arcade games and want to relive your childhood? Then continue to Barcade. There are several locations in New York such as Williamsburg and theOstdorf. Barcade has the classic arcade games you're used to like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Tetris. The only difference between when you were a kid and now is that you can play drunk if you want (and we don't encourage that). yes they serve Arcades beer and beer is a blast.

This bar is one of those places that is one of our little NYC highlights. As the name suggests, they serve delicious burgers and excellent beer here. The draft or bottled list is as long as the hamburger list. And all this for a fair price.

The Black Tail is the bar on the 2nd floor of Pier A Harbor House, one of our favorite spots overlooking New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. A visit is always worth it: The location and the good drinks are just two reasons to go there for sure!

If you're familiar with NYC, you know there are plenty of places on the Upper West Side to see the game. The problem, however, is that most of them are random pubs and other college bars.

Blondies is a great change of pace, as this female-owned sports bar has tables you can reserve in advance. Considering they have TVs everywhere and serve some of the best wings in New York, this is an excellent option for enjoying the Super Bowl.

Blue Haven is a great space just off Houston Street. So if you're looking for a convenient spot to watch the game, this is your place! Most people love Blue Haven because it blurs the lines between a draft beer pub and an upscale New York sports bar.

This bar offers modern gastropub food and a wide range of craft and draft beers. It's a great place to watch any game as Blue Haven has TVs everywhere. In fact, they even have one that's seven feet wide! So plan ahead and arrive early to guarantee a spot next to the biggest TV in the house.

One of the smaller venues on our list is Bodega 88. The size of a one-bedroom apartment, this bar is a great spot to watch any game, especially the Super Bowl! Tucked away on the Upper West Side, Bodega 88 features many large screens behind the bar and smaller individual screens at each booth.

Whether flying solo or watching with friends, Bodega 88 is a great option. If you choose this spot, be sure to order bar fare with a Latin influence, like honey-glazed Dominican squid, or sip on a strong caipirinha. Just be sure to arrive early to cheer on your team!

Those looking for a more upscale spot to watch March Madness in New York should check out Bounce Sporting Club. This venue is located on W 21st Street and is home to 30 HD flat screen TVs and a 4,000 square foot lounge. If you're near Chinatown, be sure to visit the Bowery Beer Garden. Located at 93 Bowery, this outdoor space is more pandemic-friendly than other locations. With over 50 big screen TVs and 40 different beers, Bowery is New York's largest sports brewery, so seeing March Madness at this location is a no-brainer! If you want to experience the nightlife of the Meatpacking District, Brass Monkey is definitely a place to try.

Popular with locals, Brass Monkey NYC opened in the Meatpacking District in the summer of 2004 and is considered one of the area's hotspots. The bar welcomes you in a relaxed atmosphere, decorated with wood, copper and long tables where you can easily chat with others. Spread over 2 floors, there are 3 bars and a huge selection of beers. There is a rooftop beer garden with great views of the Hudson River and New Jersey.

Cibar near Union Square is one of those little hidden bars that doesn't look like much from the outside. However, if you are indoors and want to have ayour delicious drinks (I'm not a rum lover, but on the bartender's recommendation I tried the "Hedo Rick“. Crazy!) You know what I mean! Wow, we lost our hearts here as whiskey fans - the operators behind the bar are the same ones at the Brandy Library in Tribeca. As there, the bar is always full. No wonder the bar isn't very big and nice. Shelves full of whiskeys, rum and co instead of books, a lit bar and super delicious pub food make it one of the bars that we think is one of the most beautiful!

Corkbuzz is a modern version of a wine bar: fresh, clean and super cool. It is located in close proximity to Union Square and is therefore easily accessible. The choice is huge and the staff really know what they are doing and what they are serving.

In Midtown East, you'll find the Cornerstone Tavern, which is a popular spot for Kansas fans who will undoubtedly fill the spot to see the Jayhawks. Rumor has it that Xan Garcia, the owner, wants to put some big screens outside, but she needs to make sure the city is okay with that plan first. If the latest plan doesn't come to fruition, you can expect the same service as years past, including offerings on seven-pin beer towers and the fan-favorite onion dip with Old Bay fries.

I'm a huge whiskey fan. If you feel the same way, I have a tip for you: Great Jones Distilling Co. in NoHo! It is Manhattan's first distillery since Prohibition and has won numerous awards. Designed in the style of a speakeasy bar, you can drink their first-class straight bourbon neat or as a cocktail.

Great Jones Distilling Co. it also has a restaurant. At The Grid they serve upscale American cuisine. My tip: try the prime flat iron steak and tuna!
