Disney Wish Deluxe Ocean View Family Cabin with Terrace
For oursfirst sailing on Disney Wishearlier this year we booked a guaranteed deluxe cabin with a veranda and an ocean view. A few weeks into our sailing we were assigned cabin 8194. This balcony cabin was actually an accessible cabin so it had plenty of room.
Needless to say, we couldn't wait to see what this cabin was like compared to the size.

Since this cabin is located on deck 9, it is fairly equidistant from the public areas of the ship. The main lounge and main interior spaces start on deck 5, while the pool deck and associated outdoor areas start on deck 11. Additionally, we have never had a problem securing an elevator except on the day of disembarkation.
View of the Disney Wish Deluxe Family Cabin with Ocean View
The increase in square footage is immediately apparent when comparing this Disney Wish Deluxe Ocean View Family Stateroom with Veranda to balcony staterooms on other cruises. Although it wasn't as open as our previously available cabin, there was still plenty of room.
The theme of this cabin is Sleeping Beauty, which I liked better than the previous theme The Princess and the Frog. The color palette is also quite muted with wood tones and mostly blue and white finishes.
Right inside our cabin, the bathroom was on the left and the closet was on the right. There were also additional corner shelves for storage on the same wall as the wardrobe.
Behind the bathroom and closet was a double bed. The queen bed was on the back wall facing forward. On each side of the bed was a bedside table with a small drawer. Both sides of the bed had sockets for easy access to charging. Opposite the bed was a television.

After the bed there was a sitting area and a desk. A sofa bed was on the left, and a rather large desk was on the right. The upper pull-out bed is placed above the sofa, and the wall-mounted folding bed is located in the cabinet next to the sofa.
Finally, there was a balcony. The size of the balcony is slightly larger than a typical balcony on modern cruise ships. There is enough space for 2 upright chairs and a small round table.
Inside the Disney Wish Deluxe Family Stateroom with Veranda and Ocean View
Bathroom
The bathroom in this Disney Wish Deluxe Family Stateroom with Veranda and Ocean View is a nice upgrade from comparable staterooms on other cruises. It has the typical Disney Cruise Line bathroom split which is great for families. This includes a bathroom with a sink, sink and shower/tub combination and a half bathroom with a sink, sink and toilet.
Finishes are very neutral with wood tones, marble and white tiles. There is also plenty of counter space and storage, and each sink consists of three small shelves on one side.
The full size shower/tub combination has a glass door. There are also a few extra shelves in the shower for storage.
Not to mention, the bathroom has Disney H2O+ products and a night light.
Cabinet
The wardrobe in this cabin has enough storage space for the whole family during 3- and 4-day sailings. Two parts of the wardrobe have a clothes rail with hangers, while the third (middle) part has a series of shelves next to the safe. Life jackets and capes can also be found here.
Once again, this cabin has more storage than you'd typically find in most comparable cabins on other cruisers.

Not to mention, there are also two hooks in the room to hang things like bags, jackets or hats. Plus, we always carry magnetic hooks and an over-the-door shoe organizer for extra storage. However, we didn't really need a shoe organizer as there was enough space to store toiletries and other small items at the table.
The main area of the cabin
The main area of this Disney Wish Deluxe family stateroom with veranda and ocean view is definitely more spacious than the competing staterooms. There's also a privacy curtain that separates the seating area from the bed, which would be handy if you're traveling with kids.
The double bed was comfortable and had Disney's signature linens. We fell asleep without any problems after long days and nights on board.

In addition, there was a beautiful mural of Sleeping Beauty above the bed and two pieces of art in the sitting area.
We also appreciated the outlets near the bed to charge our phones and watches overnight. Namely, on one side of the bed there are two USB sockets and one European socket. The other side of the bed has two sockets, two USB sockets and a USB-C socket.
The seating area is also a decent size. The love seat provided enough room for two adults along with a small end table. If necessary, the sofa can be converted into a bed for one person. There is also an upper sofa bed above the couch for the 4th guest. To the delight of your children, the mural is revealed when the top bunk is pulled down!

Across the way is a desk. The table is much larger than what you usually find in a balcony cabin on cruise ships. Above the work table there are three long shelves and 3 shorter shelves for storage, as well as 3 drawers and 1 cabinet below. Here you will also find a hair dryer and a mini fridge.
As for sockets, you will find one European, two American, 4 USB and 1 USB-C sockets on the table.
Closest to the balcony and next to the sofa, there is an additional closet with a fifth sleeping arrangement and more storage.
Altan
The balcony in this Disney Wish Deluxe Ocean View Verandah Family Cabin is slightly deeper than the balconies on modern mega cruise ships. It's a decent size with enough room for two upright chairs and a small table. However, it is definitely not big enough for deckchairs.

Still, it was the perfect place to enjoy the sea breeze and watch our sails sail in and out of the port.
